Cassie has worked as an acute tissue viability nurse at UHMN for seven years, managing, preventing and assessing all types of complex wounds within the acute setting. Previous to this she worked as a surgical nurse in ENT and plastics where her passion for wound care became evident. On completion of her masters degree in skin integrity and wound care in 2024 her tissue viability role more recently has involved creating pathways and algorithms for lower limb care and organising education programmes for lower limb champions across the trust.
