Wound Biofilm

Most non-healing wounds are thought to contain a wound biofilm. Increase your understanding of wound biofilm, and learn how to identify and treat it.

• Recognise the types of wounds in which biofilms are most likely to form
• Be aware of the options for the management of biofilms, including cleansing, debridement and dressing selection

  • Discussion on biofilm formation, risk factors and its management
  • Group work on how to manage wounds that are infected with biofilm
