Julie is a RGN, RSCN and has a BSc In tissue viability and is a FGL lymphoedema trainer. She has held Clinical lead posts in tissue viability in Birmingham and South Staffordshire , developing a integrated tissue viability and lymphoedema service. In 2015 she became the associate clinical director and then clinical director at Healogics wound healing and lymphoedema centres and then the Director of nursing for telehealth for Pioneer wound healing and lymphoedema services. she is now semi retired and is a visiting lecturer at Birmingham City university teaching on the tissue viability masters module and leg ulcer modules and continues to work as a trainer for the lymphoedema training academy .
